Who is Intercross?
Intercross is a scanlation team consisting of many lazy, random, insane, spamming girls who like really cute manga and thought it would be nice to give back to the scanning community. We originally started off as a D.Gray-man RPG forum (founded by the wonderful Kyon-Kyon and k2nessa) and Sexe came up with the brilliant plan of scanning as a way to attract more members… What was she thinking?
2) What type of Manga do you guys scan?We mainly focus on shoujo manga, with our specialty in oneshots (many of our staff members are lazy and have the attention span of a fly… we have to keep ‘em short and sweet for them to work!). We are currently branching out into other areas such as smut and shounen-ai (possibly yaoi in the future if we can corrupt Kyonie to the dark side~) as our staff members become older.
3) Do you guys scan Licensed Manga?
No we DO NOT. As soon as a series is licensed, we will drop it and ask that all distribution of the series be stopped. Please support the mangaka by buying their works, so that they will make more yummy works for us to leech, I mean read~
4) Would Intercross be interested in doing a joint?
WOULD WE!!! Actually we love to do joints (many of our projects are)! We feel that it helps harbor closer relationships with our fellow scanlators and it also helps with staffing issues many scan groups face with us having real lives. It also gives Fishie the chance to spread her “Fish Mind Control” powers to many more people in her attempts to control the whole world~ (RUN!!! I SAY RUN!!! IT’S TOO LATE FOR ME!)
5) May we host/scan your projects in another language?
We usually never say no. We do ask that if it is a joint project that you ask our fellow scan group for permission as well and that you adhere to their regulations. We normally ask that if you do want to host our projects or translate them into another language that you wait one week after our release so our members can enjoy the benefit of reading them first and that you provide proper credit and a link back to Intercross! If you are translating into another language, we will let only one group work on one project, per language (that means the first Spanish/French/German/etc group to claim can do “Love Berrish.” We will say ‘NO’ to all others for that project within said language.)
6) Why do you guys release so slow?
Many reasons contribute to our release speed. Apathy… laziness… but most likely it is because we have other things going on in our real lives that require our attention. As one of the Admins, I Sexe, work on 10 projects at any given time for Intercross (not including my other scan group duties). I also work 3 jobs and am applying for Grad School. If I don’t get you the newest chapter of “Love Berrish” every week, don’t hate or complain because you don’t have your fix… I don’t care. I’m doing this for FREE… Yeah… FREEEEEE~~! Unless you wanna pay me the $24/hr I make in real life to do this full-time, it’s not gonna happen. My job and family obligations will ALWAYS come first! The same goes for the rest of my staff! 7) When will you guys release *enter series name here*?
Refer to Question 6. It’ll happen when it happens. Don’t ask or complain. But we try to have a release at least once a week of one of our series.
8) Where are your releases held?
Our releases are held many places. All new releases will be held on our forum at http://z9.invisionfree.com/Intercross for a period of one week. This allows all our faithful followers of Fishiness the privilege of seeing them first (hey they put up with us and invest their time on us). After the one week grace period, we will move the projects to this website and host them on our FTP server for the rest of the internet community to enjoy. We have an IRC server, but we don’t know how to use it~ we might just have to open a new one… maybe… probably not…
9) Are you guys on crack?
Not crack per say… more like sugar, coffee, and sleep deprivation…
10) Who do I contact at Intercross?
Your best bet is to contact either myself, Sexethang82, or Funky_Fish about anything Intercross related… whether it be about joints, projects, complaints, how cluttered our forum looks, or bomb threats (actually you can just send those to Fishie~).
11) What manga does the banner come from?
The banner is from Intercross FIRST [non-joint] COMPLETE PROJECT Sweet 16 by Yukimaru Moe~ It took us long enough to finish something ourselves aye? But if you count all our oneshots I'm sure it'd count up to a couple of volumes~
